In my country, some people underestimate farmers. I wonder why some children are ashamed to tell the world that their dads and/or moms are farmers. Dear, your parents get dirty, endure the scorching heat of the sun, suffer from backaches, get wounded, etc. - all these for the sake of their love for you.
I remember someone in the past who was reluctant to bring her father in the program dedicated solely to the parents of graduating high school students. She was scared to present him because for her, "he is poor, does not work in an airconditioned room, JUST a farmer". That was sad because all along, it was her father who raised her and her 3 siblings... alone. Yes, he was a single father. And, I thought and still thinks the man deserved/s to be recognized, thanked and hugged.
May we not forget that farmers play a vital role in feeding not just a mere community, but the world. They are indeed inevitable as they help promote responsible and sustainable agriculture.
Salute to all the agriculturists out there! Your being one does not make you less of a person, for yours is a noble occupation. Thank you for your hardwork.☺️🌿🌾
