I enjoy the difference in opinion, it just sucks when their opinion is based on echo chamber confirmation bias, there's no having a civil discussion with a slave of this magnitude.

That's the age-old dilemma, isn't it? Opinions not backed by actual knowing or wisdom or direct experience. Seems like humanity has been doing that for millennia, starting with religions...
But you're right. Reminds me of an old saying from Texas local politics (and probably elsewhere): "Don't confuse me with the facts when my mind is already made up!"
