Welcome to my blog, today's discussion is about the first chapter of the book revelation which I promised to explain to us chapter by chapter and today is about the first chapter where Jesus Christ was reveling the prophecy of his father(GOD) to his servant JOHN, blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time near.
At the time John was on the island of Patmos studying the word as well as he was in the spirit then he heard a loud voice like a trumpet from behind saying write on a scroll what you see and send to the seven churches namely : EPHESUS, SMYRNA, PERGAMUM, THYATIRA, SARDIS, PHILADELPHIA AND LAODICEA.
And when he turned he saw seven golden lampstands in between them was the son of man and in his right hand he held seven stars and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword his face was like sunshine so when John saw this he fell to the ground as if he was dead already so the son of man places his right hand upon him and said do not be afraid for I am the first and the last, the living one; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.
Therefore write now what you have seen, what is now and what is about to take place later. The mistery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands : the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven golden lampstands are the seven churches.
In this case Jesus Christ was reveling the misteries that are yet to fall upon the seven churches, note: the seven churches where of the days of the Bible now the seven churches represents us human beings for the calamities will befall us if we don't apstain from our sinful ways.
In the days of John being in the spirit is of good use to the Christians and which will help them receive revelations from God or his Son Jesus Christ.
But now adays christains are afraid of everything even if Jesus wants to show a believer something in the dream there will still wake up in fear and begin to send holy ghost fire any how.
MORAL LESSONS
- christains should learn how to be spirit filled
- Christains should abstain from sin
- Christains should always be prepared for his second coming.
