ich möchte auch die Neuen unter uns begrüßen, ich habe in mehren Beiträge schon gelesen wie sehr sie sich freuen ein teil der Blurt Community zu sein und wie sehr sie Blurt lieben. Ich möchte die Gelegenheit nutzen, um zu erklären, wichtige die Arbeit eine Witness für Blockchain ist.

Was ist ein Witness? / What is a Witness?
Die Aufgabe eines Witness (zu deutsch Zeuge) in der Blurt-Blockchain ist, die eingehenden Transaktionen zu überprüfen, Blöcke nach Zeitplan zu erstellen und an der Führung von Blurt mitzuwirken. Es wird, auch erwarte das einen Witness, sich für die Blurt Communty einsetzt, das er seine Hardware und Software aktuell hält und mithilft die Blurt Community aufzubauen.
The role of a Witness in the Blurt Blockchain is to review incoming transactions, create blocks on schedule, and participate in the governance of Blurt. Wer kann Witness werden? / Who can become a Witness?
Es kann jeder Witness werden, der bereit ist die Blockchain zu unterstützen. Durch Bereitstellung einen Witniss Server "Hardware", aufspielen und aktuell halten der Software. Was man dafür braucht und wie es geht, hat @dotwin1981 in dieser Anleitung beschrieben. Das Boot von SSD mit dem Rasyberry PI 4 gibt es hier die Anleitung. Weiterhin solltest du dich aktive dran beteiligen, an dem Ausbau der Blurt Community.

Jeder von euch hat bei der Wahl eines Witness 30 Stimmen. Die du je nach deiner Wahl an den Witness vergeben werden kann. Das heißt, du kannst insgesamt 30 Witnesse wählen.
Blurt is a great community and only together we are Blurt. Thus, a Witness also need you, because without you there is no Blurt community. Each of you has 30 votes in the election of a Witness. Die Witness / The Witness
Die Witnesse werden in zwei Gruppen unterschieden, die Top 20 und die Top 21 - 100. Die Top 20 bilden die Führung auf Blurt. Wenn ein Hardfork oder Update eingereicht wird, entscheiden sie, ob diese auf Blurt eingespielt wird. Nur durch einen Mehrheitsentscheid wird eine Aktualisierung ausgeführt oder nicht. Die Frage habe ich mir auch gestellt als ich noch kein Witness war. Auch für euch ist ein Witness immer ein Ansprechpartner, wenn du ein Anliegen hast, zwecks Blurt und der Blockchain. Bestes Beispiel ist die aktuelle Diskussion über gekauft Stimmen, sogenannte Vote-Trading-Services und deren Delegation. Hier wird die Gefahr gesehen, dass dieses, die Blurt Gemeinschaft zerstören kann.

quick question
is number of witnesses important - the more there is the better service is or there is somewhat ideal number that is enough - beyond that wont make difference ( i assume size of platform will need different numbers )

So let me put it this way, the more the better, the list shows up to the top 100, but more is possible as far as I know. But currently we have many inactive witnesses in the top 100, these inactive ones do not bring blurts and should be replaced by active witnesses. Hence this short clarification and call to vote for a Witness.
Anyone where the name says "Hasn't brought blurts in over a week." Is so to speak Inactive. Everyone can see this in the Witness list.

This means that the witness is inactive and no block will be created. That is, none of the validation of signatures and timestamps of transactions can take place and this is done by enclosing them in blocks. A block is any group of transactions (posts, votes, transfers, etc.) that update the state of the database.

How it ends then we have seen with Steem. It only benefits very large accounts and harms small accounts. The winner in the whole remains only the operator. It also harms the growth of the community. So many reasons to be against it.
