Eventhough we wanted to stop by what we had done so far, we couldn't ignore the blank without curtains. So we came to the conclusion that we should do curtains.

We had a number of concerns in front of us on this work. As our housing function is coming we had a limited scope and also we were more concerned about the budget this time. Our initial plan was not going to same color theme all over the house. We just wanted to make each room unique with its color selections. So after a long discussion, we both agreed to do the curtains only for the ground floor. Especially the living area and our master bedroom. This will achieve both our targets of time and budget.

The next challenge was picking a design for curtains. After doing some Facebook research we realized, the double-color curtain is the trending design nowadays

After taking rough measurements of doors and windows we decided to go for take quotations. Our first rule is we don't buy from the first person we meet. We do market research to find the best deal and get more information. As I always say first shop to learn. We went to our first curtain shop and learned the possible designs for two-tone curtains, pole designs, hook designs, and most importantly materials.

There are several materials you can use for two-tone curtains, linen as well as velvet. As they said there are no significant quality or durability differences between the two materials but just the look and feel. initially, we wanted to go with both colors in linen plain color clothes. But later we did a little change.

We gave them sizes of 5 windows, without doors to do the estimations. So anyway the first place gave us 88525 LKR for the curtain. Like wise, we contacted 4 other shops to take estimations.

Stay tuned for part two to see the deals we really got!

I always love brown to blend with white interior then white gray or similar shading for the exterior. But, I don't have my own house yet lol.

You will have your own one in the near future friend. We just need a little hope for that.
