Now Blurt is close to 3 cents for one Blurt. All that Blurt adds up. Every post, comment and upvote. Looking back and my comments and posts. I have voted for so many, but I have not voted for myself even once in 2022.
I think this is the best policy for me and for those who want the Blurt ecosystem to expand. For years I got pennies for my posts on Steemit and then Hive. I was excited if one Dolphin or Whale would smile on my post and drop even a small percent of an upvote. I felt my time was worth something. What I didn't see until later was that whales were making a lot of money off the curation awards. Curation is necessary. But on top of the curation award they would upvote their own posts and their alt accounts more than any other creators. In this way they get double rewards.
When I started Blurt and had some Blurt power I gave my own posts a vote for few months but after thinking about the whole ecosystem here I really want to see interesting posts from various points of view. Yes, my stake and my voting right belongs to me, but I choose to use the vote to support some art, music and friends who have a clear voice.
Most of the Blurt I earn is curation. Although the price of Blurt goes up I think it is even more important to think about how I spend my time here and spread the vote around to great content creators.
I check what is going on and upvote creators every few hours. I'm thankful for Instablurt who reblogs posts that I normally wouldn't see. I also visit the hot and new tags. If you think there is some quality work I am missing then please invite me to see it. I will try to check it out.
Much Love and Have a Great weekend
From,
Mineopoly
Curation, investing, and content creation is the way to get things going to an account. If the creator has a great content it will find success otherwise if an account doesn't get a support it will be hard to build the account @mineopoly
I think one has to enjoy and have a passion with this kind of hobby/work coupled with persistence ad determination for them to achieve some milestones for their account, it will be hard but many factors that is out there to make things not to get as hard. :)
Yes,
You are right @cryptopie...
There is something that is inside each one of us. When we discover we don't have to be afraid then we find like minded people and in this ecosystem we are rewarded. Your stories are true and that's what I like about them. It helps to know that I am not the only one out there with a toothache. I just keep pushing the root canal appointment to a later date thinking it will go away.
Guess what?
It doesn't go away.
Blogging had been a gift for me which I am very thankful for, it is a shoulder to cry on, and a police precinct to complain for somethings, a reward center which one of the most awesome things the Internet has to offer, a meeting place for some friends, a lifeline for myself, and a digital culture that had been a part of my life among other things.
Anyway there is nothing to it when you visit the dentist, they will assure you that you will feel better after the session. But for a root canal I do not have any idea, I rather have it removed than to imagine some person drilling a part of my skull @mineopoly :D
You don't deserve pain, just to avoid complications just have it treated or whatever. 👍 I am just surprised that you are just enduring the toothache :|

Pls how do I start getting more votes?
Hi @afapace,
I will start with the ABCs from my perspective. When a person makes a comment I am happy to see who is reading my blog and what they think. I then become curious and check out what they are writing about. If they have common interests or come from the same country then I am more interested. It looks like you come from the same country as my mother country and you write in my mother language so you have a head start. Next I look at what you are posting. I read the titles and look at the pictures. It looks like you have some interesting titles, but when I read the blog I am honestly perplexed about what you are trying to say. The last post was about a doctor. There is a picture of check but no explanation as to the meaning of the check. I can't read minds so I can't give an upvote. If I can identify with your story or gain something significant then I can upvote a post, if not then it is very difficult for me...
The best advice I could give is to write as if someone was reading your post and then somebody will read it.
Thank you well noted.
