Why do I get $10 Tether deposited to my Binance Account each day ?

in cryptoblurt •  4 years ago  (edited)

About a year ago I sold everything I had on Binance ... Recently when I noticed BNB was heading to the moon, I logged in to see if I had any BNB dust over there ... I found $700 ????

I have no idea how I had anything at all.... I converted the dust to BNB.

Doing some digging I noticed that I get roughly $10 of Tether plus a bunch of other random coins deposited to my Binance Wallet every day ...

Does anyone know why Binance makes these other deposits ? Apparently they have been doing this for a year ?

I’m able to convert these “dust” amounts to BNB every 6 hours but I can’t find out why Binance gives me these extra coins and Tether every few hours ....

I’m not complaining, I would just like to understand why this is done so I could maybe add more of something.

I read this earlier while eating breakfast and had to go check myself. No mysterious deposits, but had some crumbs I was able to transfer out in LTC and get more Blurt. They refused to let me trade because I live in the land of the free.

Thanks for writing this or I never would have checked. I had to upvote you in the wallet because I drained my voting power BAD yesterday.

With Binance I just convert all my dust to BNB and forget about it. Worked out well for me this time.

Binance won't allow anyone in the US to do anything but withdraw. I had a popup come up both when I logged in and when I tried to go trade. It refuses access to all of it other than withdrawing. Thats why I mentioned tongue in cheek about their refusal to deal with those of us in the land of the free.

Not sure if you are interested. But I did notice that while it would cost 5 times the Eth crumbs I have to transfer out using the Eth network, that it was a fraction of that to use their in house blockchain to transfer. This suggests to me that I could transfer it with much of it left after fees to another wallet within the Binance system. If you're not afraid of posting your Binance Eth wallet publicly I would be willing to send it to you. I would rather see you have it than Binance get to keep it. I would be giving it to you (if this worked), not seeking anything in return.

It won't let me do it. I worried at first because the address you gave me wasn't one of their Binance chain addresses. But after further research that took a little time I found it would be free to transfer within their wallets.

Unfortunately the little crumbs I have of Eth are to small for them to deal with. It wasn't much, on looking it was only 3.94 worth, but still that's 394 worth of Blurt or a sandwich or something. I really wanted you to have it instead of them, but looks like they are the owners of it now. Here's the screenshot of them refusing the transfer.

can't withdraw Eth.png

I clicked several times on the submit button but it refused to do anything so despite there being no transaction fee they were still demanding that minimum regardless.

So sorry. I know it wasn't much but you were the first person I thought of giving it to because of all you do and your mentioning you use Binance.

No worries... you should try to set up an Atomic wallet and send it there. I am able to send very small amounts from Publish0x and Noise.Cash to that wallet. https://atomicwallet.io/

I can't. I know that picture I shared is small, but Binance refuses to allow any withdrawal at that level of crumb, even with 0 fees from their internal wallets as I tried yesterday to do with you.

It's all good. I've thrown a lot of money away in my life. Another 4.00+ when you add the Cardano crumb wont make or break me. I was hopeful I could still at least choose who would own it, lol.

Just another microagression that makes me cringe when I hear people thank our military here for "fighting for our freedom" when we aren't free and by the time they are through wherever they are sent they probably don't consider the aftermath of the destruction and new sanctions to be very freeing either.

Yeah.... I emptied out my Binance account a year ago when I saw that they could just borrow all my SBD and Steem.... when I saw BNB pumping I thought I’d see if I had any dust and was surprised to find $700 there. I have 8 referrals but only 2 are active... they are buying Tether, VET and COTI .... Time to share that referral Link on Twitter again...
