Wow! This season is getting really exciting. It's hard to predict which one of the coins will make an insane move. When I thought that $Doge & $Xrp are done pumping, they literally are skyrocketing again to the moon. Well, what do I even know about these coins? What I know is not even important since the market is the one deciding for them. However, I don't necessarily follow the crowd during this season. I would rather stick to the projects that I think will have a long-term prospect for my investment.
The only challenge is to keep my focus and turn my eyes away from the shimmering pumping coins.
What I do is to recall the fundamentals of the coins that I hold and see if it still feels relevant to me. If it does then I will keep it and hold it indefinitely. There are too many projects that have so much potential in this space. However, not so many of them have enough resources to take actions that will result in achieving the goals (IMHO). This is something that isn't very easy to measure. I could be wrong in my personal judgment. However, I believe that it's very important to carefully select the project that I will be investing in. Since I don't have unlimited funds and I don't want to lose any of it (as much as possible).
As many claim, BTC is still the safest bet for this season. Well, I also believe that I should hold a portion of my funds into BTC since it's meant to be the world's currency. If I'm to think of it as digital gold then it is wise to hold a portion of it as a long-term store of value.
The only reason that I invest in altcoins is that I wanted to participate in startups. It may be highly risky but if the startup turned out to be a really good one then I will be gaining more in return.
Among the startups, $AKT & $CUB are the ones that I think will make it big in this season (IMHO but not a piece of financial advice).
Firstly, both projects have a trustworthy team. Both teams are growing and are also expanding their product features. For me, a project with strong fundamentals and a hardworking team is a huge boost to my confidence to keep investing in their token. By the way, both teams are also public and their credibility is verifiable. That's all I wanted to know in this aspect.
There is a huge community that is backing the project. If you are participating in Cub Defi, you will notice that the TVL is increasing and have been very strong in the past week. If we are to compare Cub to other new Defi platforms in BSC, you will notice how extremely volatile their token price & TVL which is a turn-off for me. I have been observing projects for a week now and witness how prices & TVL drop down to 50% while some are even lower. Looking at that kind of movement made me stay away from those DeFi projects. That's not the kind of dip that I'm willing to buy.
In the case of $AKT, I'm really amazed by the stability of demand even though it has a high inflation rate. This is a token that can earn you almost 70% APR when staked and rewards are compounded. If you look at the 90d chart you will realize that this token is not going up or down drastically. There is a continuous increase in its value and it's looking healthy in comparison to the tokens that had pumped hard and then dropped hard as well.
Also, the release of Mainnet 2 has shown the technical ability of the Dev team in delivering an amazing product. Right now, the project has accumulated funds for them to use for developing new tools and boosting their marketing.

I'm really excited about this part since Akash already has an amazing working product and now all they have to do is develop tools for the UX and tell the world about AKT.
There are so many to look forward to in the coming weeks for both Cub DeFi and Akash Network.
