I know people who work in places like that and they say bad reviews hurt their employee metrics and those metrics determine whether they get raises and bonuses or even fired.

Some companies like Amazon try to get as many bad reviews as possible... Others panic if they get anything else than 5 star review...
What do you mean they try to get bad reviews?
There's shitload of social media videos online about Amazon... Some of them trash Amazon for inadequate packaging, but there is a few that tell how easy it is to get a refund from Amazon... Basically for every bad review, people post 5 positive reviews.
But why would Amazon want bad reviews???
They save money by breaking law as police doesn't investigate international frauds if the amount is small...
It is common for Amazon to for example not verify that the credit card number actually belongs to the person using it... This means they never ask CVV or CVC code and doesn't use Verified by Visa or similar system to make sure the card isn't copied.
If they get caught misusing credit card information, they refund only the latest charge and not previous ones.
Are you sure they never use the CVV? I havn't ordered anything from amazon in a while but I am pretty sure I had to list that on there...
I've used Amazon for over 10 years now and they only ask credit card number and expiration date...
Interesting. Thanks for the info.
