Kupari is a small town located a few kilometers south of Dubrovnik. This is where the Bay of Dead Hotels is located. This name refers to a former Yugoslav hotel complex, which has completely fallen into ruin. The shelled facades of huge recreation centers create unique scenery.
In the early 1990s, during the Croatian War of Independence, the Yugoslav army shelled the entire hotel complex. Then it was plundered, stealing the most valuable items. The Croatian army stayed there until 1998. Today they are just ruins that we walk through.
