Pancit Canton for dinner!
•What is Pancit Canton made of?
-Filipino cuisine has many types of stir fried noodle dishes,but although meat and vegetables add ins are very similar,the kind of noodles used vary....A few of the varieties we have are bihon that are made of rice noodles,the sotanghon that are made of mung bean starch, and the pancit canton that are made of wheat noodles!
•This is good to make in any occasions, I considered this pancit version special, not only because of the noodles but also of the other ingredients.
•I also like the idea that this recipe can be prepared quickly.
Here's the Ingredients:
•Carrots
•Sayote
•Spring Onion
•Garlic
•Onion
•Seasoning
•Soysauce
•Red Bell Pepper
•Baguio Beans
•Pancit Canton (¼ kl.)
•The pork (I used the menudo cut)
•I marinated the pork with soysauce and ground black pepper (marinate the pork for atleast 15-20 mins.)
•First thing to do; Saute the Garlic, and the Onion.
•Add the marinated pork once the garlic and onions becomes aromatic.
•Continue stirring and cover until the pork becomes tender.
•Add the carrots, sayote,red bell pepper, cover again for atleast 5 mins.
•Add the soysauce, the seasoning, the baguio beans and the water.
When the veggies are tender, add the Spring Onions, and the Pancit Canton and mix until it's done!
