Buttered Sea Crabs (LAMBAY)

This Crab is called LAMBAY! (Blue swimming crab)
We just bought it for only 250 (1 kilo) in Punta Engaño Lapu-Lapu City!

•The blue swimming crab or Lambay is widely common and distributed in the coastal waters in the Philippines.
•It could be found in near shore self areas at depths above 70m.
•It is a member of the crustacean class of aquatic arthropods that includes lobsters, shrimps and other crabs species..its body has covered with a hard shell or crust called a carapace.

•We bought this fresh and alive from the fisherman.
•It's carapace is hard, rough and broadly flattened...they have a pair of powerful claws, they used them for their self -defense, to crush and grinds their foods.
•This is our main ingredients for today ( the fresh and live lambay)

•First thing, I steamed the crabs first, seasons with ginger and salt.
•Later on, I cut the crabs into half ( I cut the crabs because its very big) it has a large size i think😀

INGREDIENTS:
•Sprite (2 cups)
•Butter
•Garlic
•Onion
•Long chili green
•Red Bell pepper
•Sweet Corn
•Salt (rock salt)
•Seasoning (magic sarap)
•Oyster sauce (mama sitas)
•Ground black pepper
•Banana catsup

•First, add the butter, saute the garlic and the onions.

•Add the red bell and the sweet corn, cover the pot for atkeast 2-3 mins. or until the sweet corn becomes soften.

•Add the other ingredients like oyster sauce, banana catsup, ground black pepper, long chili green, salt, seasonings, and the sprite.
•Bring to a boil.

•Add the crabs (lambay) and cooked for atleast 5 mins. since the crabs was already steamed.
•Serve with hot rice.
