1. CHANGE CAN BE SCARY - BUT IT DOESN’T NEED TO BE.
Seeing myself under new circumstances, good and bad, was overwhelming. The uncertainty of facing something without previous experiences was my major source of stress.
However, I learnt that crisis was also an opportunity - as long as i develop a “challenge mindset” instead of a “threat
mindset”. When I was faced with a stressful situation, I saw it as an opportunity to build on my skills, using the resources i had at my disposal; that was the “challenge mindset” I had.
2. THERE WAS ALWAYS ROOM FOR MORE TO BE DONE.
Situations in 2021 was about more than just the mindset, as what you do matters too. I learnt that the work done by people all over the world last year was an inspiring example. With less than enough on their plate, people still found ways to support the society despite the unbearable economy.
This shows that there is always room for us to do more no matter the situation at hand.
3 - LACK OF CREATIVITY IS LACK OF EVERYTHING.
With the resurgence of the covid-19 virus and the economic effect of the early stage of the pandemic, it can be seen that people who lacked creativity were as good as nothing.
At all times last year people needed to be creative and always think outside the box because the unforseen circumstances were always happening. It is a lesson that we can't depend on one resource as human beings.
Last take, 2022 is a new year and it is also a fresh opportunity for us to put the lessons we learnt in 2021 into use. I hope we could all use it to make a difference. Thanks for your time.
