Paradise - First put them in debt, and when they don't pay, take as much of their life as they owe!

There are many ways to kill a human being. The fastest and most effective is undoubtedly the direct attack on the vital organs. However, there are also forms of killing that take time, and these are legally justified.

There are some professions that cause damage to internal organs and thus invite various diseases. I say legal because the employer provides all the justifications, but the result does not change. Death occurs over time.

There are also moments when one disregards one's own life. Examples include speeding, not obeying the rules, challenging death because of bad habits such as smoking, alcohol, drugs and consuming time rapidly. Stress caused by environmental and life factors is another reason.

But what I am going to say now is a fiction, but I can say that it is a fiction that is not far from being included in our lives. I don't expect it to be realized one-to-one, but it has common points in terms of being "a form of human killing spread over time".

Before we begin, we call it simply "the system". In the 2023 #Netflix movie Paradise, we focus on the legal (some would say illegal) story of the games that play on human life and the legal (some would say illegal) ways in which one life is taken away and given to another.

I have to say again that this is fiction, but what I want to point out is that the story conceived as fiction is already in our lives in different versions. It is not hard to guess! The life of the poor is taken away and given to the rich, and the justification for this is called the system.

I don't want to give my own example here, but surely you have experienced, seen or heard of similar situations. Everyone can create their own example, I want to stick to the movie. Those who commodify life also commodify human life. Thus, thanks to the new order called the system, it is aimed that people who are considered to be beneficial to humanity live longer.

When giving life to someone, the life given must be taken from someone else. For this, someone has to be a donor. Donor is literally a giver. What does the donor give in the story? He donates a part of his own life. Sometimes consensually (in exchange for a lot of money) and sometimes under the coercion of the system; First put them in debt, and when they don't pay the debt, take as much of their life as they owe!

The system is ruthless! But have no fear! For now this is a movie, what happens in the future? It's hard to predict, but what is known is that the future is coming fast.

For example, taking 40 years of someone's life for two and a half million dollars means that a 20 year old becomes 60 years old in a few hours. Giving a 50-year-old 40 years of life would mean that he or she would regress to 10 years old. Taking from one and giving to another, it's that simple! What is difficult is to deal with the consequences of the system.

You will have to watch the movie to fully understand the system. If you want a recommendation, I think you should watch it for its interesting plot and the possibility of adapting the story to different places. It is worth spending close to two hours. Another movie in the kill to live genre or destroy the poor for the rich because money buys everything! Have a good time for those who will watch it.

Yes, after your mini suggestion, I searched for the movie and came across a review.

Watch the first movie first, this movie is the sequel...

And so I watched the first movie. It's from 1980, it took me back quite a bit, but I liked the movie. I'm writing an article about the first movie now, I'll probably publish it tonight and I'll watch number two right after the broadcast.
