Another Set in Making Charcoal

in charcoal •  last year  (edited)

Charcoal is a porous black solid, consisting of an amorphous form of carbon, obtained as a residue when wood, bone, or other organic matter is heated in the absence of air.

My brother-in-law and his company were making charcoal and sold it. They hauled woods using my side car. They dug a hole and place the wood to be made into charcoal. After that they covered it with soil and made sure that the air does not enter and they lit and heated the small portion of the wood that was not been covered.

They guarded and cheked it the whole time just to prevent it into ash.

After six days they emptied the charcoal with a rake and poured water to dissipate the heat. And when it dry they packed it for the delivery.

And I was trying to help them in packing the charcoal.
