Proposal for Blurt Powerup Day | #BPUD

Thinking of the fast growth and future success of Blurt, I would like to introduce a Blurt Powerup Day program on blurt.blog.

In fact, powerup is the process of converting you liquid Blurt tokens to Blurt power. Blurt power increases your influence on the reward pool, on witness votes, and also increases your curation reward amount.

Powerup day is a concept introduced by @streetstyle on steemit blockchain platform on May 2019. Timely it started on other content-based blockchains as well.

What is the Powerup Day?

Powerup day is happening on 1st of day of each month. Members should pay special attention on powering up liquid Blurt on this day and at the same time halting existing powerdowns.

On the powerup day, the organizer (me) measures the powerup percentage of each participant and select top 5 powerup percentages and provided them with gifts to encourage their contribution.

I would like to introduce the hash tag #bpud to pick up participants of Blurt Powerup Day

My Current Plan of the #BPUD Process

• The event will take place on 1st day of every month
• Power up can be done on 1st of month on their own time zone
• Members who has at least 500 BP can join this event
• Members should share a post on 1st of the month under #bpud tag by sharing screenshots of their wallets before and after powering up.
• Minimum powerup amount should be 100 BLURT
• The winner is selected considering the percentage that they powered up.
  Ex:

User A
BP before powering up = 250 BP
Blurt powered up = 1000 Blurt
Contribution = 400%

User B
BP before powering up = 1000 BP
Blurt powered up = 1000 Blurt
Contribution = 100%

User A is consider as the winner among them.

The process is open to discuss.

Proposed Rules

• User must have at least 500 BP prior to #bpud
• User must powerup at least 100BP for the event on 1st of month and must create a post about it under tag #bpud
• Users who are in powerdown on the day or who powered down the within last 4 weeks are not eligible

Proposed Prizes

I am thinking to select 5 winners who gain the first best percentages. There are two options for the prizes.

• Delegation prizes
• Vote prizes

Delegation prizes can be start from 1000 BP for the 5th place and increasing the amount to upper places.

If the larger votes are possible, votes can be started from 100 Blurt for 5th place and increasing the amount to upper places.

The prizes completely depend on sponsors who are willing to join with the event.

Inviting Sponsors

I would like to invite everyone to join the discussion about the proposal and also like to invite sponsors for prizes. I prefer delegation prizes as the best option, but I like to know the idea of all.
