Hello there Hivers, hope everyone is safe and doing well wherever you are in the globe. For today's content I will be sharing my snaps of lads who enjoyed shredding waves through their skimboards here in the public beach of Alcoy, Cebu.
Skimboarding has been the pass time of some young lads here in our place since the midst of pandemic. Lately, they have been more active and visible in the shorelines few days after we were hit by the typhoon, most likely because waves during that time was big and strong which I think ideal for them to shred. Check out these photos below.
These lads are locals from our village, one of them is the founder of their skimboarder community which they named it as skimdudes. Below photo is Jay we shared with the same first name actually, and he's one of the Skimdudes community founder.
Along with Jay is Dabo, the one who makes most of tricks in water. He even do a 360 turn with his skimboard, just like what he did in the above photo, but most of the time he goes towards directly to the waves and ride along with it like what surfers do.
Skimboarding has been considered nowadays as water sports acitivity, in fact, a lot of competition from other countries has already been made. But for these skimdudes its just purely a hobby and their pass time and without them knowing that its a form of exercise as well.
