A witness, shouldn't he do something for the community? Curation, anyone can do it with enough power, but help, respect for the users of the community, is more important. To look for a way to improve Blurt, to support, to hear the ideas of members... I voted for @saboin, @tekraze and a few others because they are doing something for the community. Hope I don't get hate for this comment 😂 Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
A witness is a lot of things , our witnesses do all that and we love them for it ❤️

First and foremost, a witness's job is to produce blocks. After that they vote on hardforks and keep the chain secure.
You can use whatever criteria you want in order to decide which one to vote for. Choosing witnesses who contribute to the platform is a good way to go about it. There are many ways to contribute to the platform. Some contribute in ways that aren't as visible if you don't know about it. Most of the witnesses contribute in one way or another.
I find it hard to decide sometimes since all my votes are used up, and if I want to vote for a new witness because I find that he contributes a lot to the platform, I have a hard time deciding who to unvote in order to be able to vote for the new one.
Anyway, that's my take one it.

Yes, but are you not doing something for the people? Blocks are produce from a server and enough Blurt Power, the rest is all you guys. Anyone curious enough can read all of discord chats, posts from withnesses, check developments news from them in google 😂 to see who is real and who is fake in front of the community. Every vote is the personification of your faith and the faith you have in the person/withness.

Dont you think witnesses should be the ones holding the biggest stakes , if they wanted to be witness ? Meaning the ones who are full in the community ,

One thing you need to consider is that whoever is in the top spot will be the one that will do account recovery in the event that someone's account gets stolen and the account doesn't have anyone listed as their recovery account.
We need to know who operates the @blurtlatam witness in case someone needs to do an account recovery.
I used to know who operates it, but I forget. I hope whoever it is gets in touch to let us know in case that situation arises.
Anyway, it's good that you remind Blurters to review their witness votes periodically. I think people are slowly unvoting the inactive accounts and voting for active ones. That's a step in the right direction.
