Slow-Cooker Pork Carnitas
Preparation Time 10 minutes
Total Time 5 hours 10 minutes
Number of Servings 12

Ingredients
1 Schwan’s Signature™ Fully Cooked Fire-Braised Pork (439), frozen
3 tsp kosher salt
1 Tbsp ground cumin
1 Tbsp ground oregano
¼ cup chicken or beef stock
¾ cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
½ cup lemon, juiced
7 cloves garlic, peeled
¼ cup cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Run sealed bag under cold running water for 5 minutes to easily remove pork from bag.

  2. Place pork into a 4-6 quart slow-cooker.

  3. Top with the remaining ingredients.

  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours or until heated through.

Tip: Great served with flour tortilla shells, guacamole, and lime wedges.
