Most of us are curious to know the origin of man. The scientific version of the origin of man was started by an English Biologist called Charles Rober in the early 80s (1809-1892), he sees man as a descendant of the apes. This means that man is believed to have developed from apes to take his present form of a product of evolution through the family of animals called primates.
Man is a unique member of the animal kingdom. The nature of man has made him to be intelligent and that is why he is the highest in the animal kingdom, man live in different environment of the world and can adapt to any kind of environment he or she lived.
Man is unique in the animal world because of his major qualities:-
- Man can stand direct and walk on two legs.
- He has a backbone which is shaped.
- He has a brain to think and plan which makes him to be the most cleverest in the animal kingdom.
- He has a large head.
- He has a narrow pelvis.
- He uses language to communicate.
- He has a highly developed culture than other animals.
- He can also develop his environment suitable for his own living.
- He has different religions.
- Man is intelligent and can make tools for his use.
Man's ability to adapt to different environment has made him to build different culture such as language, food, dresses, houses, etc. His ability to adapt to different weather and climate nature of the environment such as desert, ocean, different types of vegetation, etc; has led to the different culture in the world such as the American culture, Nigerian culture, British culture, Ghanian culture, etc.
This is the origin of man which has been proven by many scientists in the modern world.
