Avoid Pride

Pride comes before destruction. Pride people look down on people around them, they have no regard for anyone, they are too conceited or self-important.

Literally, pride is the quality of having an excessively high opinion of oneself or one's importance. Pride people are very proud of themselves.

Once upon a time, there was a king named "Arotilewa" in a particular town of "Mayegun", he was so powerful and famous to the extent that other kings in the neighbouring towns comes to pay homage to the king once in every month and whosoever among the Kings in the neighbouring towns that failed to visit him is in problem.

There is a particular month that one of the Kings named "Apena" from "Ajogun" town failed to visit king Arotilewa, just because he feel that the king was just trying to enslaved them.

As powerful as King Arotilewa was, he summoned king Apena from his palace with the use of African magical powers, to the surprise of other kings within some minutes king Apena drove all the way from his town unconsciousness to Mayegun town and when he got there he regained his consciousness but he was surprised to see himself standing before king Arotilewa.

To the greatest surprise of everyone present there king Arotilewa pronounced a curse on king Apena for disrespecting him and thereafter king Apena went to kill himself by jumping into the river. And this act of king Arotilewa made other kings to fear him more.

After some years, the people of Ajogun town installed another king a very young and civilized king named Adewumi but king Arotilewa didn't like him because he felt he was too young to be a king. Due to this king Adewumi refused to attend any meetings with the other kings at the palace of king Arotilewa.

King Arotilewa a man full of pride was so furious at the action of this young king Adewumi and promised to deal with him not knowing that there are more powerful people behind the young king, the day king Arotilewa tried to invoked the spirit of king Adewumi in his shrine he was struck with thunder and that comes to the end of wicked and pride king Arotilewa.

Avoid pride because the result is awful.
