Seagulls are birds in the Laridae family. They are still related to sea pigeons (family Sternidae). Until now, most gulls are in the genus Larus, but it was only recently discovered that gulls are polyphylla, so that several genera emerged, these birds like to live in high places. Seagulls are generally medium to large in size, and are gray or white in color, sometimes with a blackish tint on the head or wings. They sometimes scream or yawn loudly. This bird has a strong long beak, and webbed feet. Seagull species range from the Small Seagull, weighing 120 g (4.2 oz) and 29 cm (11.5 in), to the Black-backed Seagull, weighing 1.75 kg (3.8 lbs) and 76 cm (30 in).
