The shape is indeed small, but the title that this tiny creature bears, is quite extraordinary, namely the predator of the insect world. In the insect kingdom, there are quite a lot of insects known as predators or carnivores. It was noted that predatory insects exist in almost all insect orders, but so far only a few orders whose members are predators are used in biological control. The orders are Coleoptera family Carabidae and Coccinellidae, Orthoptera family Mantidae, Diptera family Asilidae and Syrphidae, Odonata families Coenagrionidae and Aeshnidae, Hemiptera family Miridae, Reduviidae, Pentatomidae and Mesoveliidae, Neuroptera family Chrysopidae, Hymenoptera family Formicidae. Of the many entomophages, only about 15-16% have been identified as biological control agents
