Nothing feels New althogh its a New year

It is a new year, but the baggage of the year before still weighs one down. No one speaks for anyone, but no one can deny that almost everyone is going through similar things. It could come in a different form and manner. With that of the way, let me start by wishing everyone an Happy new year and also explain my reason for the long break I took from writing.

The truth is responsibilities keep piling, which makes engaging in a hobby or something you love that is not paying the bills a waste of time. The truth is many people on the platform will not admit to it, but at this point, I am not just writing for the fun of it. I am writing to make a mark and earn big from it, but that's not happening anytime soon, based on the looks of things.

Last year's Xmas celebration and this new year as to be the most boring one ever observed, but it is what it is. It is an experience not worth experiencing, and that's why I stayed away from actually writing because time will be better invested into something that will eventually make me better personally and career-wise. The thought of doing it has brought that spark back, but I am not earning a dime from it now.

So yeah, I have been heavily invested in re-education, and I have done this by taking my time to re-visit some things I know and learning again from scratch. A big shoutout to the Simplilearn and Coursera platform, which has allowed me to learn and earn certificates to show for my effort. I want to say that it is not too late to take control of one's life.

In closing, 2023 was not my best year, but it was a year that still opened my eyes to things I didn't know I had to learn, and I am glad I learnt it all. That said, I am happy to make my first post of the year, and I hope that I make a few bucks for posting and engaging with friends I have made on the platform.
