Okoho soup is the main traditional food peculiar to the Idoma people of Benue State. (Let me bless you with this idoma little angels)
It is made from a kind of stick( at least that's how best I have always said it😀)
Today my craving for okoho soup with pounded yam was high😋...and as usual whenever I have a particular craving( especially food- as a foodie that I am- I always gat cravings😃) that is not within my immediate reach, my only way out is to talk about it.
and Sometimes, I even go as far getting mouth watering photos of that particular food and put them up on my status and Facebook stories and talk about that food... I don't know how to say it but the truth is that somehow the cravings these photos happen to stair up in others kind of give me joy or probably a relief that I'm not alone😅
So, today as I began to crave for idoma number 1 traditional delicacy ( okoho soup and pounded yam) and knowing full well that I can't have it( the stick is usually scarce) I resolved to use my trick...
I went online and searched for some photos of it.. Got a few of it and posted on my stories...😃
The reactions was just coming in and like a magic I feel much better😃😃
It was in my research I found that it(okoho) is made from the plant Cissus populnea belonging to the family Amplidaceae (Vitaceae).
Look out for the recipe in my comment section. I know there are some adventurous foodie here that will love to try it out.
