My Experience Today!

I went to the farm today and alot of things caught my attention. I could see people practically using the hole and cutlass to cultivate their crops. And i really wondered; when will Africa get to mechanized farming? The picture here is a man who was using hole to farm his rice.

The truth is any other thing can be replaced but definitely we cannot replace our desire for food neither can we replace food. And all our foods come from the farm. The land is rich and some people apply very little or no manure to their farms.
I also wondered how so many crops could be cultivated in the same area and yet both of them would produce beautifully.

The above pictures are okro farm very close to the rice farm and the okro made beautiful flowers and produced so many okro.

Also while he was cultivating his rice farm, i saw a crab and the man caught it and kept it and when i asked him what he wanted to ddo with it, he said he was goin to have it cooked and he will eat it..The smile on his face was something else.

Just again i saw another person harvesting his cassava which he intends to sell and get some herbicides for his next rice farm.
I admired their dedication and commitment to there farms. Most especially nobody waited for the government to provide for them.
Maybe blurt can support agricultural projects to support production of food.
