After winning the Premier League Cup this season, Liverpool were pushed to win more domestic trophies. In order to confirm the status in the history of the club.

Liverpool won the English League Cup after winning on penalties over Chelsea at Wembley, Sunday (27/2/2022) yesterday. It was the first English League Cup trophy in the era of Jurgen Klopp, as well as the first for the club since 2011/2012.

Since the Klopp era, Liverpool now means that they have won a total of five titles. Each in the Premier League, English League Cup, Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.

At the domestic level, there is still the FA Cup that has not been won. Liverpool last lifted the cup in 2005/2006.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher calls Liverpool's current squad one of the best in history, but still lacks a trophy. He hopes that Mohamed Salah et al can add to his collection of other trophies, especially in the domestic arena.

I think this is one of the best Liverpool teams we have ever seen. The teams that Kenny Dalglish have won in the past have won far more titles than them, including this competition four times in a row," Jamie Carragher was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

I think it's important in the next few years Liverpool start winning more domestic competitions, along with big trophies.

It deserves them because of the football they've played and the results they've had in the last 3-4 years, they've become a team that, not only in Liverpool's own journey, but in the Premier League for many years, he added.
