Beneil Dariush vs Islam Makhachev was originally set to be the main duel at UFC Vegas 49 on Sunday (27/2). This is the UFC's top lightweight duel.
Beneil is in third place and Islam Makhachev is in fourth. The winner, will advance as a challenger for the title belt after the duel Charles Oliveira vs Justin Gaethje.
Unfortunately, Beneil suffered a leg injury and withdrew from the duel. A new opponent has been appointed, he is Bobby Green!
Bobby Green is one of the veteran fighters in the UFC. He has been competing since 2013.
Bobby has a record in the professional MMA world, 29 wins and 12 losses. His last match was to win the duel from Nasrat Haqparast, on February 12 yesterday!
Ahead of the duel against Islam Makhachev, Bobby Green admitted that he couldn't wait to climb up to the octagon. Bobby wants to prove himself!
"I have to lose 11 kg in 10 days, yes, I'm crazy!" he said as reported by ESPN.
"I will face an opponent ranked at the highest level, then I will fight like a gangster," he added.
Bobby Green has a basic Jiu-jitsu martial arts knowledge, but is also good at the top fight. In fact, he has quite a lot of experience, the 35-year-old man has tried light, welterweight, and super light classes.
Bobby has a winning record of 10 times via knockout, eight times via lockdown, and 11 times via points. To face Islam Makhachev, Bobby promised to win via knockout.
