Madrid - Karim Benzema is back from injury. His presence made Real Madrid sharp again after a goal drought.

Real Madrid managed to beat Deportivo Alaves 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Spanish League continued match, Sunday (20/2/2022) early morning WIB. The three winning goals for El Real were scored by Marco Asensio, Vinicius Jr. and Karim Benzema's penalty.

In this match, Madrid appeared dominant in attacking the Alaves defense. They made a total of 23 shots with nine on goal.

The nick in the match against Alaves shows that Madrid's problem regarding the bluntness of the front lines is starting to be resolved. Previously, Madrid had experienced a goal drought in the last four matches with only being able to score one goal.

One of the key factors Madrid sharp again is the return of Karim Benzema. The French striker had missed three matches for Madrid due to a hamstring injury.

Benzema actually made a comeback when Madrid lost 0-1 at the headquarters of Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League match. But at that time Benzema's condition was not fully fit.

He then only really fit against Alaves. Benzema had a big contribution in Madrid's victory over Alaves.

In addition to making one goal, this 34-year-old player also carved an assist for two other Los Blancos goals. Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, had predicted that the return of Benzema would make Madrid sharp again before countering Alaves.

We have got our main striker back in Karim, who has scored a lot of goals and created goals for other players as well. He didn't play fully against PSG but he is fine now and he will help us in this," Ancelotti was quoted as saying on Madrid's official website before the match against Alaves.

Benzema is still the main focus of Madrid. Benzema has 18 goals and nine assists in LaLiga. More than half of Madrid's goals in LaLiga this season have been due to Benzema's role. El Real itself has recorded 51 goals this season.

The contribution of the former Olympique Lyon striker led Madrid firmly at the top of the LaLiga standings. They have 57 points, six ahead of Sevilla in second. regards @cristino
