After a fight against Jarrod Bowen of West Ham, Mario Lemina of Wolverhampton was deprived of the captain's title.
Nelson Semedo, who will start wearing the armband vs Ipswich Town at Molineux on Saturday, has been named as Lemina's replacement, according to manager Gary O'Neil.
His stripping off the captain doesn't really mean he has been banned from the first team, as he will also continue to play his role as one of the senior team members.
Lemina was sent down following Wolves' dramatic 2-1 Premier League defeat to West Ham, another struggling team, at the London Stadium on Monday. The England star pushed his opponent back and grabbed him by the collar of the neck after seemingly saying "Shake my hand" multiple times. Bowen's jersey was grabbed by Lemina, who then flipped the winger onto the field.
