Nigeria's players have declared that they will boycott Tuesday's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya after being stuck at an airport for more than 12 hours.
The Super Eagles players and staff traveled to Libya on Sunday night, but were redirected to Al Abraq Airport rather than Benghazi Airport, which is more than 200 kilometers and three and a half hours from the hotel where they were lodging.
The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) said in a statement that they had been trapped at Al Abraq Airport all night, with several players claiming they were left with no food or water.
