Talks are on for David Moyes to take over Sean Dyche with an unexpected Everton comeback.
Dyche, 53, was fired by the Toffees moments ahead their FA Cup matchup with Peterborough on Thursday.
Additionally, Moyes, 61, the former manager, has started negotiations with Everton after being quickly chosen as an alternative.
The Friedkin Group, the new owners, approached Moyes and his team early before seizing control of Goodison Park.
The former West Ham manager, who departed the east London team in the summer, has turned down several offers since departing the London Stadium, including positions abroad and in the United States.
He stated last month that he was not finished with managing after receiving an OBE.
