A renowned physician estimates that Real Madrid icon Dani Carvajal has only a fifty percent chance of fully recovering from his severe knee injury.
The 32-year-old Spaniard won both the Champions League and the European Championship last season.
But the spanish right back was not realy lucky this time around as he suffered cruciate ligament, external collateral ligament, and popliteal tendon ruptures during Real Madrid's 2-0 victory over Villarreal on Saturday, ending his season. The creator and president of the Lateral Knee Injuries Committee of the European Knee Society, Dr. Pablo Gelber, has now shared his thoughts on Carvajal's injury, which brought the defender to tears. Not only did he affirm that the right-back will need at least a year to heal, but he also astonishingly disclosed that his chances of returning to full fitness are just between 50 and 60 percent.
