Mala Grohs, Bayern Munich's goalkeeper, was recently confirmed to have cancer and will be away for a "undefined timeframe."
Teammates and supporters are coming together around the 23-year-old, and Bayern agreed to extend her agreement with the club until June 2026.
Grohs announced in a strong video message that she had the disease but was "usually very confident" about the outcome of treatment.
The 23yr old star goalkeepre signed for the german giants as a backup goalie in the summer of 2019 from VfL Bochum.
She stepped up to cement her spot as the first choice goalkeeper three years later after she signed for Bayern. she has since then gone to make a total of 81 league appearance and added the German super cup to her list of achievement for the German club.
The bayern star goalkeeper is very optimistic and believes that she will definately recover and come back stronger.
