Mauricio POCHETTINO
Mauricio Pochettino is apparently on Newcastle's radar, should Eddie Howe accept the England position. The 46-year-old toon chief Howe is undecided about staying with the Magpies or accepting a dream position with his nation. If Newcastle needs a new manager, Pochettino is their top choice, and the executive wants a decision made quickly.
August 17 is less than a month away, when they play Southampton in their Premier League debut. Howe was much admired by Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi, both of whom have moved on from Newcastle. However, Poch was recruited to Southampton by Paul Mitchell, the new sporting director, so he might view this as the ideal chance for a reunion.
