Police in South Korea have taken an offense to Jesse Lingard.
After violating two traffic laws while riding a scooter in Seoul, the previous Man Utd star was fined. After riding a kickboard around the city's Apgujeong-dong neighborhood, Lingard became viral on September 16. Rocking a baseball cap and tracksuit, the 31-year-old english star posted a video of himself speeding through the streets. In order to operate a scooter, riders are required by South Korean legislation to possess a valid driver's license.
When riding on public roads, they are also required to wear helmets. Following the incident, Seoul police have revealed that they have penalised Lingard a total of 190,000 Won. He was fined approximately £106 for his two infractions of the traffic laws. A close associate of Lingard told Newsis, a South Korean news agency, that any notion the player was drunk during the ride was "nonsense." The 32-time England player, Lingard, became a member of FC Seoul in February. He has gone to make a total of 18 appearance scoring 4 times.
After acknowledging that he drove his £200,000 Lamborgini while intoxicated, the midfield player was fined £57,000 the previous year.
