Barcelona are as transformed since club icon Xavi Hernandez took over the reins of Ronald Koeman back in November. The club has steadily climbed up the La Liga table and has just lost one of their last 15 matches in the Spanish league.
One of the key players on the new Barcelona team is the Uruguayan central defender, Ronald Araujo, who has been stable and also contributed with goals from time to time, including one on a header in the El Clasico showdown against Real Madrid, where Barca won 4- 0 away.
However, the 23-year-old midfielder's contract situation in Barcelona has become a bit awkward and it is rumored that Araujo does not want to extend the contract.
According to the Spanish media El Nacional, Manchester United will now take advantage of the situation to strengthen the club's defensive by meeting Barcelona's price requirement of around 300 million kroner for Araujo.
Barcelona picked up the central defender of the Uruguayan club Boston River in 2018 and since then it has been 72 matches for Blaugrana
