Benzema hat trick sends PSG out of champions League

The Parisians who entered the Santiago Bernabéu with a 1-0 lead in the bag put out well, and were the best team on the field in the first half. After first conceding a goal, the young Mbappé, who was otherwise doubtful up to the match, was able to kick the French ahead 1-0 after 34 minutes on a fine lay-up by Neymar.

In the second half, it looked like “Los blancos” had been transformed into a completely different team. They controlled the entire game, creating many chances right from the start of the second half. After 61 minutes, Donnarumma gave a huge gift to the white-shirted after a big roar with nonchalant dribbling in their own field, after which Benzema was able to kick off the Madrid goal celebration. The Frenchman was unstoppable, and with two extra boxes, the PSG executioner won the match with his hat trick.

Once again, it was an early PSG exit in the Champions League, and it does not indicate that the team with the current players will be able to become winners of the trophy with the big ears within the next few years.

Although Real Madrid are not favorites in the tournament, one never knows what might happen if the team and in particular Benzema show the same top level as in the second half.
