Now here are the questions for the week! You can select any of your choice and comment on, someone might reply you....let the conversation begin....
🔹 As a Nigerian🇳🇬 student, what do you think about the current academic staff union of Universities (ASUU) strike?
🔹 Do you think 24🕕 hours a day is too short?
🔹 who is your favorite music🎧 artists? (Image of the artists)
Real life event!!!
🔹Matters Arising....
This event happened earlier this week, and it's about to tear a home apart.
A man comes back home by 5pm Nigerian time and after few hours the wife came back that should be around 8pm Nigerian time. Now, what lead to the fight was no dinner at home, the woman asked why he didn't prepare dinner since he got home before her, the husband tells the wife that she should have closed work early. With much nagging, there was a fight.
Now the question is
who should prepare dinner?
:::Discord :::Whatsapp:::Twitter :::
Logically, whoever arrived home first should prepare dinner, in this case the man arrived first, because if they both work in the street there should be mutual support.
Yes it's quiet simple, but people tend not to understand it that way, some even have to bring in tradition into it.😂 Thank you @neycor for coming to the pub. But let me ask, what if things continues this way, does it mean the man will keep cooking??
In no way, I think they should take turns, one day one cooks, the other day the other because otherwise, it can become a habit and that would damage the relationship. it should be equal to equal.
In some part of my country, I don't think equality would work here as it is the woman's duty to prepare dinner for the husband.
In my country equality does work, although there are some men who do not tolerate it.
Now this is the main thing,
that is true.
You're right about that... We just don't know if the man knows how to cook 😂😂
If he does not know how to cook, the wife should teach him so that when there is a need for him to cook, he can do it, but this should be done by mutual agreement.
😂😂.. Will this one happen in Nigeria, like how many men will accept this ..??
Let's just believe that the man will agree to learn how to cook from the wife 😂
If he loves his wife he will accept it.
And that's how the man turns a cook for life
Hello @blurttribe
Thanks for the mention. @endplagiarism would be supporting the winners with 5 blurt each and some others
Cheers🍻
Thanks so much for the support 🙏
Wow thanks @endplagarism 😊

Who is my favorite music artist?
That's a no-brainer for me.
I don't think that this lady needs more introduction for anyone to recognize her. She has been dubbed the artist of the decade. She's the most recognizable singer of our generation. And she's an angel sent from up above. :)
Taylor Swift is not only my favorite musician. She's my favorite person in the whole universe.
And I bet that you know at least one of her songs. :)
Hello @meitanteikudo, I Love her songs too🧡
What if I say I don't know any of her songs😂😂😂😂Just kidding
Then I'll spam you with links of her songs hahaha
Hmm @meitanteikudo do you mean to say she's your crush? 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️
Who doesn't know Taylor Swift? Maybe a not music lover 😜
😂😂😂😂😂
The current academic staff union of Universities (ASUU) strike is doing more harm than good.
It has totally shut down the academic activities in this country, Nigeria.
Had it been the Federal government valued our educational sector, this strike won't occur in the first place.
My dear, the thing tire me
I've been at home for almost two months and feels like half a year already
But at least it's giving me time to make money sha 🙃
Hahaha..you can make it loud
Thanks to a platform like blurt, putting smiles on our faces
Blurt to the moon🚀
Yes o 😊
Everything in this country is just been taken for granted. As the elections are around the corner, maybe it might be one of their political strategies.
In those case, based on my experience communication is play an important role in marriage. If the man come home first, he should prepared the meals or he call his wife should he prepared it or the wife would buy some food while she back home.
Now I see why good communication is needed, maybe if there was one, all this wouldn't have pop up.👍👍
Hmm communication... Nice one, thanks for pointing that as a major problem they were having
I know I came late but should that mean I'll meet lots of comments waiting for me to go round and look for trouble 🙄
Where is @bam-bi @vectorshore @venom-21 you guys ate cake and forgot about the pub huh? 🧐 I'm waiting for you pipo
Well, for that matters arising... The man should cook or take something light because if I'm the wife I'll buy a fast food while returning... We eat and sleep then I make sure to prepare meals before leaving the house.
Hahahaha...I just they look you
Hahaha I've been very busy since yesterday. I lost my dad and there's lots of responsibilities on me now. Hopefully in the next pub, I'll participate. Thank you for the mention 🙂
😳😳😳
So sorry about your dad, you will be fine and we hope to have you around soon
Thank you so much. I really appreciate.
About the asuu strike, i think it's sad how the government pays no heed to our educational needs as much as they do other things that should come second. I mean, look how long the strike has gone with no news of a truce or incentive for asuu. I can't fully blame the committee for the strike, but it's affecting students a great deal. I don't even feel motivated to study since the middle of March.
Also, not everyone is able to cash in on the strike and learn a skill or start a business.
Come to think of it, this strike did not start today, is been long , is it that the money the government is owning ASUU has not been paid fully since this years?. Nigeria should do better than this, after all we claim to be the giant of Africa with no steady electricity, good roads, cost of fuel so high, transportation high cost, high cost of feeding and the youths and masses are the ones suffering all this. If only the government and ASUU can come to an agreement and settle this issue once, so that students can go back to school.
Even I can't remember when I looked at my books direction in the house 😂 study for what? 🙄
My dear, let's make more money on blurt and close school matters for now... Who school help? 🤪
By being active on blurt we also gain knowledge and also learn new things.
You cant remember or you did not come back with them😂😂😂
Just lemme alone o 😂
Do you think 24🕕 hours a day is too short?
In my opinion, if these 24 hours can be used properly, this time is enough....
And if time is not used properly, then why only 24 hours?
Even if you give a person endless opportunities for the rest of his life, he will not be able to achieve any success.
That's the truth... We still would complain that time isn't enough even if we are given all the time to gather success because man's want are insatiable.
Nice contribution 😊
Well, I missed previous and first week but this week not at all. I think you have brought a very good thing for the entire Blurt community. This kind of activities prove that our platform is very active and it's people always look forward to bring amazing things.
Come to the main point. I will answer the 2nd question. I believe that 24 hours in a day are not short but our busy life makes it so.
Posted from https://blurtlatam.com
You gave a rather perfect answer, our busy lives makes the given time for a day too small
About the ASSU strike, I'll say is one of the worst thing that has happened to students in Nigeria.
I think 24 hours is perfect
My best music Artist is Alan Walker
About the matters Arising, I'll say the couple don't communicate and as most of us know, communication is key on every relationship.
Nice response, what if this is the time the woman normally returns home, we don't know, you know how it is in Nigeria, do you expect the man to keep preparing dinner or eating fast food all the time.
You know not all men like house helps.
Then in that case, if the woman is a wise woman, she should plead with her husband to help her go to the market, then when she returns, she prepare the food.
And, if that's how her work is all the time, then the both of them should sit and talk things out,
they should plan it well, that's why I said communication is key.
And if the man is not comfortable with it, then he should look for a better job for his wife because I can't advice the woman to sit at home either. They should just talk it out.
Look for a better job for the wife you say, our naija women go agree😂😂😂(l love my job will be the talk for day)😂😂😂
someone is looking like a good person here with her wise words 🙄🏃🏽♀️
I dey house, come and beat me
You and Alan Walker sha 🤥

Hello everyone
Happy weekend to you all
@merit.ahama, am here now 😂😂. Greetings to everyone. I like this weekend's topics, is interesting
So I would love to start with my favorite music artist.
Mine still remains Lucky Dube , I love his songs because there is a story behind it and lessons to learn from it too
Some of my top tracks are
🎧 Together as one
🎧 Remember me
🎧Truth in the world
And so many more tracks🤗
Lol, this is so interesting 🧐.
About the Asuu strike, our Nigeria government is not helping matters, they are so nonchalant and reluctant to reach an agreement with ASUU because, if not all most of their children are schooling outside so after all ASUU strike no dey affect them. This is not even the first time nor the second time Asuu is going on a long strike and it is very disheartening because most of us that were supposed to graduate at an earlier age like 22,23 are now graduating at an older age like 25,26 years 😞. This is why I will always go for skill acquisition over Education 👍
24 hours a day is not short, I even think it should be reduced 😅 body need rest
Matters Arising
If the woman closes work by 8pm every day, dinner shouldn’t cause an issue for them, what about other days that she has been coming back by 8pm how did they eat?😏 They already have a way of preparing their dinner.
If only she came back late that day then she should have called her husband to let him know that she won’t be coming back early so they will plan on how to prepare for dinner or better still eat out.
Understanding and communication is their problem, they should work on it❤️❤️.
Good evening everyone, I'm glad to be here today, but I'm gonna digress from the topic of this week's pub. Last night, I lost my dad and I've been very busy with responsibilities as the first child. But by God's grace, I'll be with y'all fully in next week's pub. Take care all 🙂
It's not much, but i hope God comforts your family and grant him repose.
Thank you.
Tgif
Cheers 🍻
