This post is for the purpose of encouraging my fellow youths especially students who are going through a lot in life.
The world we are in is full of obstacles and sometimes when you feel you're unstoppable suddenly you hit another hurdle, so it's possible to see the world as a hurdle race.
According to Wikipedia
Hurdling is the act of jumping over an obstacle at a high speed or in a sprint.
So life itself is the act of jumping, solving, or circumventing over obstacles sometimes at a high speed, sometimes at a slower pace depending on your strength and endurance and the weight or intensity of what you're facing.
Like every game has its own rules and regulations so does life. They're things you're expected to do and things you're not expected to do if you must pass the hurdles of life successfully. So many things you can do and you'd be right back where you started from and so much more to do to pull through and steer in the right direction. It's only the strong and patient athletes who make it to the end hence they say "patience is a virtue".
One significant part of Hurdling is that when you jump over an obstacle you must make sure you're landing is good and you need to check your forward motion so you'd be sure you're steering in the right direction.
Life on its own is not a bed of roses and even if it was, roses have their thorns, when you see life as a hurdle race you will learn how to bypass some obstacles and some tricks of the game and lead a successful life but one thing is certainly hard work, persistence and consistency is the key to a good life.
You must not forget where you started from, your roots, and humble beginnings because it is the knowledge of the starting points that helps the officials of hurdle race game to calculate the distance covered and so it is for life.
If you forget where you started how will you know how far you have gone, you may not know you've done a big job or covered a significant distance but because you've forgotten where you started from you might give up thinking you haven't gone far.
One last thing to note is "You won't always win, you may fall, you may stumble, you can even bruise but never say never keep pushing for glory awaits you at the finishing line."
