It was love at first sight
Lost in a stare, words failed me

Caught in blab of what I know not
Hoping that time will help me make sense

Love birds we dreamt to be
But hawk and chicken we turned out

Our voices were meant to melody each other’s ear
Now, the leave it cracked and buzzing

I did think we were forever
But I guess forever is such a strong word

My thoughts of you have faded
The painting of you in my mind, I can’t find

We are more like a dying rose
Dried up and left only with thorns

No more fragrance, nor a little shade of colors
