In a world full of chaos,
Deep down we long for silence,
For solitude.
An alone time for oneself.
Interaction with another is the centre of humanity.
No man can survive alone.
Yet our inner man calls for quietness.
Solitude is not emptiness as some think.
It feeds and refreshes the soul,
A way to commune with oneself.
A time of calmness, without fretting;
The body rests in quietness
As the soul rejoices in silence,
Without the chaos and worries of the world
Without judgements and criticisms.
A time to choose yourself,
It's not a crime.
For distraction must knock at the door,
Hence its name,
To shatter the peace in solitude.
Do not answer until your soul
Is one with your body,
Savoring the beauty around you,
Embracing yourself.
Until your restlessness is soothed in quietness,
Until your mind is at peace,
Until you are ready,
Then open the door
And face the world again,
As a new and refreshed person,
Energised to take on the chaos
And win!
