Happy Thursday Blurtians!
Originally, our ultimate plan that day was to visit Valencia Plaza. They currently hold a festival showcasing the culture of Valencia. We were disappointed as we arrived at Valencia Plaza since the activity will start late in the afternoon and we arrived there at around 10AM. Instead of going home, my friend brought me to one of the beautiful rivers in Valencia.
If you're unfamiliar of the place, you will never know that behind the bushes lie a beautiful river.
After my friend parked her motorbike, we hiked few meters and descended the stair going to the river.
The presence of other visitors made me realize that this river is one of the most visited rivers in Valencia town.
Big rocks, greenery and flowing water greeted us and the smell of a grilled fish was the first scent we smelled as we arrived. Though we were just done eating but the smell made us salivate. We turned our head around and in a few seconds we saw a group of male busy grilling fish.
There were already few people plunging in the water. Some of them were children who loves to immerse theirselves in the water.
My friend caught me staring to nowhere so she call out my attention and told me that we will be looking for a nice spot for us. And since we will crossing the water, I took off my shoes. The sand is not really nice unlike the sand in the beach. It's sharp and it hurts your feet.
But since I don't bring a pair of slippers I just endured the pain but don't worry, the pain was just tolerable.
The water was just knee-deep but still we were careful as we crossed because of the sharp rocks.
While walking in the river I was entertained by the piles stones scattered everywhere.
Finally, we were able to find a quite spot away from the people. We put down our belongings and my friend immediately grabbed the food that we brought. Do you eat boiled peanut and unripe mango with soy sauce?
While in the river we do a lot of activities like we tried to meditate and listen to the sound of the flowing water.
My friend do yoga pose on the big rock. She loves to keep doing yoga pose.
She also tried to pile the different sizes of stones.
While my friend enjoyed the cool water, I also went further and checked around. It is quite in this area. No one occupies it. I stayed for a few minutes and let myself enjoyed the scenery.
I went back to my friend and we enjoyed talking random topics while I immersed my feet in the flowing water.
After a while, I challenged myself to also pile stones and should be higher than the other.
Unfortunately, I was not able to pile stones higher than the other piles especially on the first photo of this blog. But I understood because it was my first time and would not expect to do it perfectly. Practice makes perfect as they say.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
