Blog #195: Milan, Italy Feels

Happy Wednesday Blurtians!

It feels like I am in Milan, Italy, for sure you already knew why.

The Valencia Plaza was empty as I arrived. It was quite and there was no flock of doves around. I didn't see even one dove. Someone told me if I will visit Valencia, I should include Valencia Plaza in my itinerary. I can see a flock of doves if I will visit the Plaza.

But few months was different when I went there, the place was quite. I could only see few people in the corner and no doves around.

I asked a middle-aged-man if how can I attract doves? I wanted to see them on the ground. He instructed me to buy dove's food at the public market so I immediately headed to the market and bought 1/4 kilogram of dove's food.

Since I don't know how to call the doves, kuya helped me. He whistled and scatterred the foods on the ground.

After few minutes of waiting, Kuya was able to successfully attract the doves. I could feel their enjoyment as they started to gather on the ground and eat.

At first, there were only few doves were coming. But after few seconds, there were many doves came out from the old trees lining up in Valencia Plaza and they went down.

I was delighted as I saw them coming down. Kuya gave me the dove food and let me feed them.

Everytime I scattered the food on the ground, the doves were busy searching for it and they immediately gobbled it up once they have found the food.

It was my first time to feed a flock of doves and I found the task enjoyable.

A few minutes after I had fed the flock of doves there was a little boy with his parents who just came in the Valencia Plaza. As he saw the doves, he immediately stopped holding from his father's hand and ran towards the flock of doves. He played with the doves and I could see how that little boy felt delighted while playing. Have you seen the little boy?

I didn't leave the plaza immediately. I watched the little boy who enjoyed running on the Valencia Plaza ground and playing with the flock of doves.

When the boy with his parents left the Valencia Plaza, I also slowly walking towards the Valencia Plaza gate. It was just a short time but it gave me joy.
