[ENGLISH]
Northern Italy is best known for its industrialised areas, but in reality a large part of the business fabric is also made up of agriculture. These photos show wheat fields in the Emilia Romagna region, a land best known for Ferrari and Lamborghini. The last estimate of total wheat production in Italy was made between 2021 and 2022. This estimate notes that 14.5 million tonnes of wheat were produced in Italy.
For now, it would seem that Italy is tending to decrease its wheat production in favour of other, more profitable crops.
From wheat comes flour, which is used to make bread, biscuits, fresh pasta and pizza.
It was while passing through these wheat fields that I wondered whether we in Italy were producing more or less wheat than in years past. Unfortunately, from the data I got, it seems that less and less wheat is being produced in Italy.
*Do you like these wheat fields?

I like your photos. I stopped eating wheat in 2016, to avoid the substance "gluten". Now I cook with flours made from rice, corn, quinoa, oat, cassava, etc.

I recently tried quinoa too, it has various nutritional properties

Yes, and while it's a lot like rice, it has a pleasant flavour and texture.

Congratulations!

Yeah!!! Great and thanks for support

Beautiful shots

Thank you for leaving a comment. Unfortunately, wheat production in Italy is decreasing every year. It was a beautiful sunny day and I wanted to take some photos of what is one of the most important agricultural products of food interest.
