Autumn in Japan starts around September to November. The weather at this time is quite cool and pleasant, the average temperature in the northern region is about 12°C, while the central and southern regions are about 26°C. The most prominent feature and also the time to attract tourists to Japan in this season is the red leaf season "Momiji". In this season, Japan is like wearing a new shirt, the trees gradually change color from green to yellow and finally red in just 1 week, a beauty full of charm. The natural scenery is filled with the color of brilliant maple leaves, as beautiful as a vivid picture of nature.

Autumn in Japan has a very unique romantic beauty, ancient temples and parks are covered in a beautiful red color. To the Japanese, the meaning of the maple leaf is similar to the meaning of the red rose. The maple leaf symbolizes love and brings peace, luck, and happiness. When you give someone a maple leaf, you are giving a gift to express your love for them. When visiting the maple leaf forests, you will admire the image of a whole forest covered in beautiful red and yellow colors, maple leaves are not only beautiful because of their appearance but also remind visitors of autumn, the season of love and romance. Maple leaves have a propeller shape that looks like an outstretched five-fingered hand. Leaf margins are serrated. Maple leaves often grow luxuriantly on the branches, spreading a wide canopy to shade and create an extremely brilliant beauty with unique leaf colors.

The ideal destination to see the autumn leaves season that I would like to introduce today is located in Gifu Prefecture, which is Kegonji Temple. Kegonji Temple is located in Gifu, Ibi District, Ibigawa, Tanigumitokuzumi, 33rd place in Saigoku. Kegonji Temple is a temple of the Tendai sect built in the 17th year, founded by a superior Bunen in 798. This is the 33rd Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage Site and has a unique structure like the Oizurudo Hall, where pilgrims fulfill their wishes. Here you will see stone statues of raccoon dogs lined up around Mangando. The autumn leaf festival has started on all days of the week, so the number of people coming here is very large.

I walked from the parking lot to the shopping street in front of the gate, the trees on the street had turned a beautiful red color. The road from the parking lot to the main hall is also a bit far, the paving stones continue from the main hall to the main hall, in front of the main hall there are steep stairs, so the movement is not very convenient for the elderly, but for me. Moving is also quite easy. The large, dignified temple grounds are the venue for pilgrimages and people's wishes. It is the oldest Kannon pilgrimage site in Japan. In addition to pilgrimage, the temple is also known as a famous tourist attraction with maple trees covered with leaves that have turned red, here visitors can enjoy the change of nature. The road to the temple is covered with a warm, vibrant yellow color along with red color, making the space here become colorful in the eyes of visitors, the ground is covered with fallen leaves, creating a beautiful scene a gentle, peaceful place of the future. The red leaf season usually lasts about 20-25 days, which varies according to the weather of each year.

Autumn in Japan gives me a lot of wonderful feelings about nature, I love autumn here so much and if you plan to travel to Japan in autumn you should update the red leaf calendar every year you can arrange your schedule as well as choose a reasonable time for the trip. For self-sufficient travelers, you should book flight tickets and hotel rooms 1-2 months in advance to ensure resort services. Hope you can visit and admire the fascinating beauty of nature as well as the people, the traditional culture here.
