Happy Art Day!
I’ve been cooking up some wonderful new concepts in my art studio. My recent works are inspired by my psychedelic journeys, my plant babies, and my garden. Here are some of the works that speak to me the most. Embedded in all of my artworks are the values and issues that I care about. When you buy my work, you support an all-women team.

I’m thrilled to share my new body of work celebrating my deep connection to cooking food! This new suite of limited edition prints, FAVI’S COCINA, is my first release of 2022 and celebrates my love for cooking in my kitchen, preparing plant-based foods using ingredients from my garden and from farmers in my region - enjoying the gifts of our Earth Mother.
I consider myself a culture keeper of ancestral food knowledge. I believe I’ve been blessed with unique abilities in my mouth and in my gut which allow me to tap into the true essence of different kinds of food from different cultures.
My friends and family who have tasted my food over the years will tell you that it’s been an amazing and delightfully pleasurable experience. That is because I pour my love into my food, I view food as a pathway for healing. I also try to connect with each ingredient. I try to imagine what it was like for ancestors to come up with unique dishes that I get to recreate today.
This series celebrates how much I love learning about and continuing food traditions. Among my favorite dishes are veggie curries, ramen, baba ganoush, hummus, lasagna, and all kinds of bean dishes. Food is an extension of my artistry and a part of my creative practice.
I’ve recently been doing pop-up dining experiences where I create very special dishes for my loved ones. As an artist, I see that my role is to continue our ancestral cultures, and so I try to learn as much as I can in a way that is authentic and respectful. I love growing my own food too. I feel that particular ingredients awaken parts of our bodies that allow us to remember and heal. I like to think of myself as a messenger for those elements and for those life forms because they are from the Earth, they are alive and they enter our bodies and nourish us.
