I wanted to choose a place that would be as green as possible in order to rest my eyes from looking at the screen every day, as well as to be quiet in order to escape from the busy reality. My choice was a small town in Serbia called Arandjelovac and it turned out to be a great choice.
Arandjelovac is known for its historical importance because some great and decisive moments in my country happened there in the past. The town is also known for its sources of mineral water, which has many beneficial effects on health. Many people go there just to get water because they need it to treat their health problems.
The symbol of this small town is a spacious place, the Park of Bukovicka spa, which we visited during our walk.
It is a beautiful park with tall trees and greenery that makes you feel very comfortable. Whether you want to walk, run or simply relax, you are in the right place.
This park is also known for the fact that it houses one of the largest open-air museums of marble sculptures.
I liked the sculpture called "Just watching you". It says a lot.
As I was walking, I came across several sources of healing mineral water that has been healing people for years past and beyond.
The park is very nicely arranged and maintained.
My daughter enjoyed walking along the gravel path.
And then we came across a boy who had toys but no company to play with, so my son and daughter joined him. That was the best part of my walk because I was able to rest with the chirping of birds and the gentle sound of the wind while my children was playing. 😊
Walking further, we came across a source of mineral water called Knjaz Milos. It is today the most famous bottled water factory in my country.
Water is the source of life and there is a lot of it here. A walk in the park that smells of health motivated me to start taking care of myself and my health more.
On the way back, we came across an imposing castle.
As a fan of castles, I immediately went closer to look at it. I saw a sad picture of former opulence and luxury.
Once upon a time, ceremonies and gatherings of important people from noble families were held in this castle. It is sad that today this castle is abandoned. There were even attempts to set it on fire and it was damaged on that occasion, but it still kept its authentic appearance and unfortunately is still waiting for an opportunity to restore its shine. Let's hope it happens.
I love when I end a post with some hope. 😊 Until the next Wednesday walk...
Greetings and let's not lose hope!
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.
