Hello, wonderful ladies of blurt community. Did you put on makeup today and what do you think about makeup? This topic inspired me today, so I will share my thoughts with you.
Makeup is a personal choice of every woman. That choice is based on many factors and there are different views on it. For many women, makeup is a daily routine. Something that must be done before going out. Some women consider makeup to be an art. A creative activity that aims to beautify the face. In my opinion, anything that results in beauty can be considered art. For some women, makeup is a pleasure and enjoyment, but for some, it is a mask. A mask that they have to wear, to hide their true appearance.
Pleasure or obligation
If you are a woman and you feel that you have to put on makeup every morning when you wake up, before you go to work, then makeup is an obligation for you. But if you can't wait to put on makeup as soon as you wake up, then makeup is a pleasure for you.
In my opinion, makeup changes not only appearance but also consciousness. The pleasure of makeup can be the pleasure of being beautiful in the mirror, but it can also be the pleasure of being treated by others differently.
We, human beings, by our nature, are creatures who turn to aesthetically pleasing scenes. That is why we strive to look beautiful. Everyone loves to see a beautiful woman, but the concept of beauty is different for everyone.
Undoubtedly, makeup sometimes helps us to be noticed by others and to leave a good impression. When we show up for a job interview or an important meeting without makeup, in most cases they will look at us differently, and maybe our face without makeup will cause a lack of self-confidence, which will affect how others will see and treat us. We may not look good enough and our appearance may overcome our competencies. That shouldn't be happening, but unfortunately, it is happening.
Is makeup a mask?
I usually don't see makeup as a mask, because I never use too much makeup, that would drastically change my look. But sometimes I think that it could be a mask in our everyday social life. It could be protective and help us transform into the different roles we play. It could make a woman awake even when she is tired.
Treatment differences
Based on many experiences, it can be concluded that women are better treated in society when they wear makeup. With makeup, compliments are more often said, kindness is greater, and the door is open where it might be closed without makeup. Without makeup, people sometimes don't see women, like they are invisible.
In my case, when I am without makeup, I am treated like a child. That is good sometimes and it is a compliment when people think you are younger. But with makeup, they take me more seriously, especially at work. And when people take you seriously, it's easier for you to finish the job successfully.
Here I am with and without makeup. Like two different me. Makeup works wonders. 🙂
In the end, I have a question for you. Have you ever been treated differently with and without makeup?
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.

Make up is and has akways been, a tool to cause sexual arousal in the opposite sex.
Personaly, I prefer little to no makeup at all for more than little starts to look like a clown face to me.
Your face is beautiful, you don't need makeup of any kind.
I have seen that in networks many people criticize women for putting on makeup, and for me it is annoying. If you feel pretty doing makeup, do it! And if not, do not do it.
It is one of the personal decisions of women, and what we decide to do to feel comfortable or beautiful, is only our business.
I only wear red lipstick, I don't know how to do makeup. But, I like red lipstick, I rarely go out without it, I feel that it gives more color to the face, and also that in some way, even though it is only on my lips, it gives a very beautiful shape to the face.
