A few days ago, my friend invited me to come to her place in Cologne. She lives between Belgrade and Cologne because her husband works in Cologne, so she is there very often. I have many friends abroad and usually before Christmas I receive invitations to visit them.
I was very interested in Cologne because I have never been there, but I think that this year my financial situation will not allow me to travel there. My friend is persistent, so she keeps sending me photos in order to interest me even more and motivate me to come. She has great impressions of this German city and says that she would have a lot to show me there. I believe her because the photos are promising.
I would like to take a walk on the Hohenzollern Bridge. It must be an amazing experience.
This bridge is called the bridge of love, like many other bridges in Europe, because of the love padlocks that can be locked there. But when you are with a loved one every bridge and place is a place of love.
The view of the Rhine River when the sun sets is especially romantic.
Or a walk on the green lawns nearby.
I love cities that have a lot of green areas, where you can isolate yourself from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy peaceful walks by the river.
I also like cities that have their own gates. Great fortifications that bear witness to the past.
Cologne is beautiful both in summer and winter. My friend tells me that there is always a lively atmosphere there and that positive vibes circulate through the city. During the summer, you can refresh yourself with Cologne beer, which has a specific and refreshing taste. In a word, it is unique. 😊
The city has a lot of cultural sights worth seeing and I plan to explore them all before I go there. But it is certain that I will see the Cologne Cathedral, one of the most impressive buildings in Germany and a masterpiece of the Middle Ages. It would be amazing to see its interior.
Cologne is a very charming city and has an old historical part that I particularly like. There are many traditional houses and religious buildings in the old town, and one of them is the church of St. Martin. The buildings of Cologne make this city a fairytale.
During the Christmas holidays, Cologne shines at night.
Beautiful decorations and Christmas markets look very attractive.
This is one of the destinations that I will definitely put on my travel list and I hope to visit my friend soon.
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.
Greetings!
